Region 9 Volunteer Registration

All AYSO volunteers (Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Referees, Team Managers, Board Members, etc.) are required to register with AYSO each year before they are allowed to be with our boys and girls.

On-line registration is available through the eAYSO system (the same system you may have already used when Preregistering you child or children on-line).

You must complete ALL information on the form, sign and date the printed form, and present two (2) copies of the form along with your Drivers License (or other acceptable picture ID) to the Region 9 Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA) or other designated member of the Region 9 Executive Board.

2010 On-Line Volunteer Registration
Please read these instructions carefully!!

Note: Submitting an on-line Volunteer Application does NOT mean that you are registered as a Volunteer in AYSO Region 9. You are registered only after our Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA) has checked your information for completeness and signed off on your application.

To register as a Region 9 volunteer you can fill out your Volunteer Application on-line. All you need is a computer with internet access.

You must:

  1. Make sure that each Volunteer Application is completed, signed and dated by you, the volunteer.
  2. You, yourself must present proper identification (drivers license or other state ID) to the CVPA.

If you have any questions, please contact our Region 9 CVPA Martin Usher.

On-Line Application

  1. You can skip to step 3 if you have previously used eAYSO to register a child to play and/or to register yourself as a volunteer in a prior year.  Go to eAYSO and select First Time if you have never used eAYSO.  You can also retrieve forgotten Passwords or Emails from this screen.
  2. Select "I want to do my part as an AYSO Volunteer" then click Next:

Provide your name and Home Phone number (the program will check to see if that data is already in the User database):

Take the required minute or two to Create your User Profile, with Username = your e-mail address; then choose a password.  Be sure to select a password that you will be able to remember in a week or in a year (so that you will not have to enter everything from scratch next year!).  You can skip this step, but you may regret that decision later:

  3. You can now login to the system with the username and password that you entered in step 2 above or which you had already established:
  4. You will then find a Welcome screen with your name:
  5. You may not have access to all the menu choices on this screen, depending on whether you have used eAYSO in the past to register Players and/or Volunteers.  Choices which are grayed out are not available to you.
    a.
If you have never used eAYSO to register as a Volunteer (even if you have been an AYSO Volunteer for years), select Apply as a new adult volunteer or youth volunteer (under 18).
    b.
If you have used eAYSO in the past and want to Volunteer for the current season, select Apply as a continuing adult volunteer or youth volunteer.  You are required to re-apply every season.  But you only need to apply once per season, even if you are volunteering for multiple jobs (coach, referee, Board, etc.).
    c. If you are already registered for the current season but need to update your address, phone number, e-mail address, etc. select Update volunteer information.
  6. The basic steps for completing your Volunteer application are:

Step 1. select a Region (that would be Region 9)
Step 2. complete the Personal Info screen  (all red star marked fields are required).
Step 3. select a Volunteer Job from the drop down list (don't worry if you have multiple jobs; just select one)
Step 4. provide information about a Personal Reference (again, red-starred fields are required)

Step 5. provide either a Professional Reference or a Prior Volunteer Reference; be sure to scroll down and complete the Disclosure section at the bottom of this page!
Steps 6-8.  Read the Region Info, then click on the I agree button in step 7, then Submit your information in step 8.
  7. Once you have submitted your Volunteer Application you will need to print out, sign and date two (2) copies of the form.
Go to Print form under "Those who have already volunteered":

Be sure to read the Print Forms Instructions!  Use the printer icon on the form, not the printer function of your browser.  If you want, you can save a copy of the form to your computer in one of several formats.
  8. Bring both signed and dated Applications with you to one of the Coaches, Referees or Team Managers meetings (see the Region 9 Calendar for dates, times and locations).
  9. For Region 9 Board Members:  you must be an eAYSO-registered Volunteer before the Regional Commissioner can grant you access to other eAYSO functions necessary for your job.
