Team Formation: · You cannot request that certain children be assigned to the same team as your child. · You cannot request a certain coach for your child. You may specify one coach on whose team you do not want your child placed, if done so in advance during registration. · All registered children will be placed on a team. Should a problem occur and no adult volunteer coach can be found, the team will be disbanded and the players will be placed on other teams if space is available. If no space is available, refunds will be distributed. The formation of teams have no relevancy to the date of registration; therefore, the determination of placement versus refund is irrelevant regarding date of registration. The Region has a Large Number of Children: · Practices are made by the coach subject to field availability. You cannot choose days, times or locations for practices or games, nor can one child's practices and games be coordinated with any others. Game schedules are subject to change and due to weather or overcrowding problems, your child may be required to play more than one game in a day or on a Sunday. Your Part in the Program: · If asked, your child's team will be required to provide 2 adult volunteers to assist on a Game Day in the concession stand or information booth, or help with the field crew at the beginning or at the end of the day. · Your child's team will be required to recruit a Team Sponsor to donate a sponsor fee to assist in the expenses of the program. The donation is tax-deductible. · One or more parents on your child's team will also be required to volunteer time as Assistant Coaches, Team Parents, and Referees. · Fund raising activity is part of this program. You must do your part to offset the high costs associated with this program. Soccer is a Team Sport: · The other children on your child's team need to be able to count on you and your child. You must commit your child to attend each scheduled practice and game and you must notify your coach in advance if your child's absence is unavoidable. Activity at the Games: · The players, participants and spectators are expected to behave with the highest degree of decorum, sportsmanship and respect for others, including the volunteer youth and adult referees. All comments directed to your child or other children are to be made in a positive manner. Derogatory remarks, abusive language, intimidating behavior, or threats will not be tolerated, and any child or adult who behaves in a manner inconsistent with this policy may be immediately removed from the soccer fields and is subject to removal from the Program. All acts of physical violence directed against any Volunteer is this program will result in immediate removal from the Program and possible criminal charges.
