Region 9 AllStars 2007-2008 Tournament Results 6/15/2008 - The T.O. Most Wanted U12 Girls, coached by John Benedict and Mike Koch traveled to Burbank for the Cartoon Classic and their final tournament of the season. After three great games, the team came in first in their pool play. On Sunday late afternoon, we went onto the Championship Game where we played the Santa Monica “A” Team. T.O.’s Most Wanted is shown with their medals pictured from left to right, back row, Coach Mike, Samantha W., Hayley W., Samantha P., Jessica Z., Kristen S., Courtney A., and Coach John, bottom row, from left to right, Ally L., Kayla B., Alexis B., Molly G., Nicole G., and Nikki M. This has been a great season and we are all sad to see it end. Also attached is a picture of Coach Mike and Coach John hamming it up! Please come out and join us at the Fusion game for AYSO Region 9 Night, on Friday, June 20th at 7:30pm, at Newbury Park High School. The team will be playing at the half time! See you there! 6/10/2008 - The T.O. Thunder, Girls U10 team, coached by Karun Kapur finished second at the Patriot's Cup this past weekend. 6/9/2008 - From Frank Ozello, coach of the All-Star U10 Boys (A-Team) : "We won the Patriots Cup this past weekend. For the season we won seven tournaments and came in third in three others." 6/7/2008 – The U12 Girls (B- Team) T.O Most Wanted, coached by John Benedict and Mike Koch made another consecutive trip to a Championship game, this time at the Santa Barbara Splash Tournament. After playing some very tough teams in pool play, they earned a hard fought 2 wins and a tie. It was truly a team effort to get into the Championship game with great offensive and defensive teamwork, not to mention superb goalkeeping. The team literally limped into a 2nd place with missing players and two players injured in the final. The girls stand proud with their 2nd place medals from a field of 24 teams. Congratulations! 6/1/2008 - The All-Star U10 Boys (B-Team) coached by Ramin Khalilzadeh finished 2nd in the 4th annual Leo Nedeff Memorial tournament in Glendale. 6/1/2008 - The 4th annual Leo Nedeff Memorial tournament is where the Weekend Warriors (U16 Girls AllStars) ended their all-star season. After playing our 4th game on Sunday, the girls can look back at the memories they all shared this season. I wish all the girls health and happiness, I will miss them all. Hanging up my clip board, coach Johnny Rendon signing off. See their smiling faces! 5/21/2008 - The U12G (B-Team) T.O. Most Wanted All-Stars, coached by John Benedict and Mike Koch won their pool play with 3 shut out victories, 1-0, 5-0 and 2-0 to move onto the championship game at The Camarillo Strawberry Cup. The girls fought a hard battle in the championship game. The score at half time was Santa Barbara 3, TO Most Wanted 0; with all of SB's goals scored on 2 direct kicks and a penalty kick. But the TO girls fought back and scored 3 well earned goals in the second half, giving up only 1 goal in the half. The girls finished in second place in the Division. Also here is another picture of the girls in their famous tower of power. 5/19/2008 - With temperatures hitting over the 100 plus mark, our girls from Thousand Oaks (U16 Girls AllStars) pulled off a 2nd place finish in the Quartz Hill shoot out. With super soakers in hand to help fight off the heat, these girls brought there own kind of heat to their opponents. We hit the wall in our final game to a strong Downy team. Way to go "Weekend Warriors" girls U-16 soccer team. Coached by Johnny Rendon and Todd Mathison. Click here to see pictures. 5/19/2008 - The All-Star U10 Boys (A-Team) coached by Frank Ozello won the Quartz Hill Shoot-out this past weekend. 5/19/2008 - Don Ross’ TNT U12 girls took second place at the Quartz Hill Shootout 5/17-5/18. They won all their group play games 3-0. 5/18/2008 - This past weekend, the TO Titans All Star Soccer team won the championship game in the Camarillo Strawberry Cup U10G All Star Soccer Tournament. Our girls played a very tough team and used some of the best passing we have seen to date, coupled with great offensive and defensive teamwork, and some fantastic work in the goal. The game was tied 3-3 but the Titans secured the win with a last minute goal just before time expired. Our girls have worked so hard to get this win, coming very close in the last few tournaments, and should all be congratulated to the part each individual contributed to the strength of the team. The Titans are playing the best team soccer we have seen all year! Go Titans! We will play our last tournament over Memorial weekend at the Top Gun Tournament in San Diego. The Champions T.O Titans are: Brittney C., Camilla A., Cassie D., Cayley C., Emily M., Kayla M., Kiana S., Leigha K., Makayla B. and Megan W. The team is coached by Par Dannas and Barry Shane. I also like to mentioned that the fields at Freedom Park in Camarillo was spectacular and we like to thank AYSO region 68 for a great tournament. I also attached a team picture of the champions TO Titans. 5/18/2008 - T.O. THUNDER STRIKES AGAIN - The Thousand Oaks T.O. Thunder Girls U10 Allstars won their division in the California Strawberry Cup soccer tournament the weekend of May 17th, their second championship this season. Click here for the Team Picture! This is the 3rd tournament in a row that they have placed 1st (Moorpark and Camarillo) or second (Oxnard)! 5/7/2008 - Both U10 Girls' B&C Teams placed 2nd in their respective flights at the Oxnard Sports Festival. The teams are coached by Karun Kapur and Par Dannas. Way to go Girls! 5/7/2008 - The T.O. Lightning U12 Boys Allstars coached by Kevin Feinbloom won the Moorpark Apricot Jam tournament for the U12 Boys Division. They went 4-0 to win the whole tournament for their division. 5/7/2008 - With only 11 players for the weekend, the Weekend Warriors U-16 girls team coached by Johnny Rendon took 4th place Sunday after a double overtime game with N.P. in the Oxnard tournament. "We had 4 physical games, and we will be ready for Lancaster ! See our Team Picture!" 5/6/2008 - The All-Star U10 Boys (A-Team) coached by Frank Ozello won the "Gold" flight, the highest flight, in the SAS Kickers Spring Cup Club Tournament this past weekend. That is four consecutive tournaments the boys have won and five of the last six tournaments the boys have won. 5/5/2008 - The Thousand Oaks T.O. Thunder Girls U10 Allstars took 2nd place at the Oxnard Sports Festival this past weekend (May 3-4). 5/5/2008 - The U14G-A Team coached by Jim Forrest placed 3rd at the Santa Clarita Showdown (April 26-27). Great job ladies!!! 4/28/2008 - The All-Star U10 Boys (A-Team) coached by Frank Ozello won the "A" flight of the Santa Clarita Valley Showdown this past weekend (April 26-27). Congratulations on a job well done, guys! 4/15/2008 - The All-Star U10 Boys (A-Team) coached by Frank Ozello won the Area 1F Founders Cup in Torrance/San Pedro this past weekend (April 12-13). Way to go, guys! 4/14/2008 - "I'm proud of my girls (Weekend Warriors U16G), they played a HOT Sunday game against a West Torrance team. We finish first in our pool on Saturday. The Torrance coach said " you guys had us worried". Score was 3-1 They had 2 un-lucky goals against us. We hit the up right, and missed on a break away. Game was much closer than the score reflects." - Coach Johnny Rendon. Click here to see the team's picture! 4/14/2008 - Our U14 Girls team, coached by Steve Popp, placed 1st at our own Pot O Gold Tournament in March. The team took 4th place at Moorpark's Apricot Jam Tournament April 12-13. Great job, ladies! 4/14/2008 - The All-Star U10 Boys (B-Team) coached by Ramin Khalilzadeh took 2nd place in Apricot Jam Tournament in Moorpark on April 13th. 4/14/2008 - The Thousand Oaks T.O. Tournament March 8-9. U10 Boys rock! 3/18/2008 - The Region 9 Girls U12 “A” Team, coached by Don Ross, took 2nd place in our own Pot O' Gold Tournament March 15-16. The girls also placed 3rd at the Simi Valley New Years Tournament. 2/18/2008 - Our U14 Girls team, coached by Steve Popp, placed 2nd at the Riverside Locomotion Tournament. Also placing were the U12 Girls team, coached by John Benedict, who finished 4th in this prestigious event. Great job, ladies! 2/9/2008 - Our U14 Girls team, coached by Steve
Popp, were runners-up in the Area 10E AllStar Playoffs in Simi Valley. The
Girls will be representing the Region and Area at the Section 10 AllStar
