We will be using the eAYSO website (www.eayso.org) for Referee Scheduling this Winter; instructions for this new system can be found at:

Though written for our Premier League Program, the same basic procedures should be followed for the Adult League.  On the Signup for Games page, select Program = Adult League W2010 then click the Search button.  Also note that the Referee Schedule does NOT display in a logical sort-by-date-time-field order; games for 1/24/2010 may appear on page 1, 2, 3 or 4 of the list.  You may want to limit your Search to a single Date From and Date To.

Thousand Oaks, Region 9, AYSO, has instituted an adult league for the purpose of giving adults the same opportunity as the youth of our community to learn and enjoy the game of soccer. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun and fair environment for all who want to simply enjoy the game and get plenty of exercise. This is NOT a competitive league, and standings are not kept. Those looking for competition and hard play will not find this league to meet their needs, but those who just want a chance to play the game in a safe and fun environment will get exactly that.

The league is open to everyone who is 19 years of age and older (Born before 8/1/1990) It is a coed league that follows all of the philosophies of the youth league. It is open to all ages (19 and up) regardless of skills and/or experience. The only requirement is that you come out to have some fun!

We maintain a zero tolerance policy in regard to any violation of our Fair Play Pledge and the basic safety and sportsmanship rules of our league. Anyone not willing to follow this philosophy will be asked to leave our league and find another more suitable to their needs.

The following are some of the violations of our league that will result in permanent removal from the AYSO Adult Amateur League:

• Slide-tackling
• Frequent or flagrant use of foul language
• Fighting (regardless of who started it)
• “Dirty” play, including but not limited to taunting both verbally and physically, or retaliating for an earlier perceived injustice
• Consistent dissent with officials, including the league board
• Refusal to abide by decisions or requests of the officials, including the league board
• Cheating of any kind, including but not limited to playing illegal players
• Use of alcohol, tobacco, or any controlled substance on or around an AYSO facility

We reserve the right to determine any other causes for removal at the discretion of the league board based on the severity of the offense.

Application and Fair Play Pledge

Updated 1/10/2010 - Registration for the Winter 2010 season is now closed!! Our thanks to all of those who participated this Fall and made the league a big success! The first game will be Sunday 1/17/2010 and run for 8 weeks. All games will be on Sunday’s with start times of 10:00, 12:00 or 2:00. Fee for the Winter season is $50 for returning Fall 2009 players, $85.00 for all others.

For your convenience you can:
1.  apply on line beginning immediately; be sure to PRINT and sign a copy of your application before you click the Submit button
2.  mail in the signed printed application and Fair Play Pledge
3.  mail in the league fee of $50 or $85 for all players; checks only, payable to AYSO Region 9 – Adult League.  Mail to:

We must have the hard paperwork within 2 weeks of applying on line for your registration to be complete. BOTH your Application and the Fair Play Pledge must be completed and received to be fully registered. Proper legal identification for age verification is required – drivers license or birth certificate (include a copy if you are a New Player applying by mail).

We would like to have all applications in by December 18th, 2009 so that we can determine how many teams we can field in the Winter. So complete your registration on time!!

Finally, if you are a USSF Referee or an experienced AYSO Referee (at least Intermediate level), each team is being asked to provide an AR for the match before or after yours (though some AR slots may be staffed).  Please contact Chuck Huffer at chuffer123@aol.com

Adult League Coaches - Winter 2010

Attention AYSO and/or USSF referees!  Because this is an adult soccer program rather than a youth soccer program, AYSO referee training does not qualify you for officiating these matches.

Not to worry!  If you are an AYSO Intermediate referee or above, you are eligible to cross-certify with USSF (and Region 9 will even pick up the cost, so long as you volunteer to officiate at least 5 AYSO Region 9 Adult League matches during the season!).  Click here for more details.
